Price:
$105.00 deposit to hold a position in the league
$555.00 (includes the $105.00 deposit) if paid upfront prior to season commencement
$600.00 (includes the $105.00 deposit) if paid through installments (first installment is $355.00 and due prior to season commencement – opens 28th September 2026)
$500.00 if a registered referee or Learn2Play & NIHL Junior coach and want to become a part of Heroes Hockey! Learn more here.
$275.00 if a goalie.
Insurance and Northstars Club Fee is an additional fee of $82.00 and is compulsory. Please note, this is a one per year payment. If you have already done this prior to the Winter Whistle, you do not need to do it again. IF you have not played since last Summer or are brand new this summer, then you will be required to do this payment.

Description
The Newcastle Ice Hockey League (NIHL) is the first step in playing competitive ice hockey in Newcastle. The senior competition is open to ages 14+. Players who are interested in joining the leagues are drafted into divisions and teams based on their playing experience. Full protective equipment is required. We offer two senior competitions year round, being winter & summer.
