Start Date: 18 October 2025
Games: up to 11 games (10 guaranteed)
Divisions: Jr – 12 year old and under and Major Junior – 12 to 16 years old
Eligibility: Players who are 15 or 16 years of age and are playing division 1 or division 2 senior competition are not eligible for Major Junior and must be senior competition only.
Saturday – from 4.30pm
Sunday – occassionally and as required
Price*:
$275.00 if paid upfront
$165.00 if a goalie
*Insurance and Northstars Club Fee is an additional $70.00 fee and is compulsory.

Description
The Newcastle Ice Hockey League (NIHL) is the first step in playing competitive ice hockey in Newcastle. The junior competition is open to ages 14 and under. Players who are interested in joining the leagues are drafted into divisions and teams based on their playing experience. Full protective equipment is required. We offer two junior competitions year round, being winter & summer.
