New to ice hockey? want to try it out? learn2play is a pay-as-you-go program that gives you the opportunity to learn ice hockey with no financial risk to you.

There is no memberships, no long term commitment.

The program runs in 10 week blocks and is divided into three concurrent sections so you can learn in safety and with the support you need. Next block starts from 5th February 2024!

Grow the Game (Grow) – for beginners under the age of 10. Focuses on ice skating, getting comfortable with falling over and controlling a puck.

Skate the Game (Skate) – for beginner skaters aged from 10 years to adult. Focuses on ice hockey skating skills such as forward skating, backward skating, crossovers, pivots, and stopping.

Save the Game (Save) – for beginner goalies who are interested in trying the position out. Our qualified coach will teach you the basics of goalie skating, positioning, postures & much more!

Play the Game (Play) – for players 10 years to adult who have advanced from ‘Skate the Game’ and are ready to enhance their puck skills. You will need full protective equipment for this section. What is full protective equipment you ask? Check out the list below!

Protective Equipment:

• Elbow Pads
• Shoulder Pads
• Helmet with a cage or visor - rental helmet available
• Hockey Gloves
• Skates - rental skates available
• Hockey Stick - rental sticks available

When you are ready and comfortable, we assess your ice hockey skills and advise you about the next steps for your hockey career. Whether you want to play for fun or more competitively, our wide range of programs will help get you there.
